Ms. Laila SchneiderGossens serves as the Director of the German Current San Diego and oversees and executes the cultural affairs program and works first handily with all local sponsors and Foundation members. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German, and a Master’s in International Business Ms. SchneiderGossens joined the German American Chamber of Commerce California as their Program Director in 2012.
Before settling in San Diego she conducted a year long empirical research study working with participants of cultural integration programs around Germany. Recognized for the significance of her research, Ms. SchneiderGossens was awarded the German Studies Research grant from the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) to complete her dissertation. Furthermore, she is also an Alumni of United States International University – Kenya, Africa and over the past decade she has been highly involved in numerous international educational projects.
Ms. SchneiderGossens has extensive knowledge in matters of transatlantic business affairs, specifically in the fields of import/export regulations, market entry inquiries and business development.
