Over the past seven years the German Film Festivals has continuously grown and in 2016 over 375 attendees enjoyed the Opening Night, including 200 VIPs and Sponsors at the Champagne Toast reception. For the first time since its inception, a total of over 1,000 attendees enjoyed the weekend’s events. The films, shown in German with English subtitles, were entertaining and sometimes provocative. Visitors were confronted with universal topics and had the opportunity to discover new and surprising facts about modern day Germany. The Festival highlighted German culture and furthered the art and craft of German filmmaking. They aspired to attract a diverse audience with an event that conquers culture and language barrier.
